BROOKS & DUNN GEAR UP FOR NEW RELEASE
Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are gearing up for the release of their new 12
song album Cowboy Town (out 10/2)-the CD featuring the Top 5 hit, "Proud of the
House We Built." The foundation of that house, of course, is always the duo's
ability to pick great songs.
Kix says the selection process is pretty simple, basically they keep the good
ones and thRow away anything with warts on it.

POWERFUL SIMPLICITY
Every one of those 13,000 people at Smirnoff Music Centre on Saturday night
for the double-bill of Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn witnessed a rare treat: A
traditionalist who's arguably this generation's Hank Williams, and a duo that
all but spearheaded the high-octane honky-tonk country movement of the past 16
years.

BROOKS & DUNN WON'T REST
ON LAURELS
August 28, 2007 — Kix Brooks says it gets harder to be Brooks & Dunn with
every album, as he and partner Ronnie Dunn strive to tackle new creative
challenges after accomplishing virtually everything a country act could hope to
achieve.
"When we get to the point that all that we have left is our hits and fairs and
festivals to play in the summertime, we won't be doing this anymore," Kix tells
the Birmingham News. "If we can't bring something new and exciting and challenge
ourselves to do something that's special, then there's not going to be a Brooks
& Dunn."

TUNE IN TO CATCH BROOKS &
DUNN ON 'COUNTRY'S NIGHT TO ROCK'
ABC's hottest music event is back -- and bigger and better than ever -- when
today's most exciting Country Music sensations hit the Nashville stage in a
four-day party and music celebration for the special, "CMA Music Festival:
Country's Night to Rock." The two-hour telecast will air in HD with 5.1-channel
surround sound MON., JULY 23 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television
Network.
Nashville had never seen this much excitement when citizens learned that Brooks
& Dunn were performing an impromptu concert in a local honky-tonk club! The
story began with a radio DJ announcing the big news event, and the rest became
history. Pandemonium quickly filled the air as chaos clogged the streets with
the rush of fans trying to get a glimpse of the duo. Overwhelmed and moved by
their loyal fan base, Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks returned the devotion, posing
for photos and signing autographs. It was truly a night that this town won't
soon forget.

JOE'S PUB: ALWAYS FULL OF
SUPRISES
Fans packed Joe's Pub in Manhattan Wednesday night for a rare 'n' rowdy
guitar pull - plus a piano - the second of four CMA "Songwriter Series" programs
at the club. Nashville's finest were represented by host Bob DiPiero,
Kix Brooks, and many more.
According to Showtime Networks Supervising Sr. Writer/Producer Mary Jo Kaplan,
who witnessed the fun, one obviously inebriated fan kept handing her cell phone
to Brooks, urging him to say hi to her friend Shauna. He finally did, and told
Shauna that he wasn't sure how many minutes were on the cell phone plan, but
added, "Here, you can listen to the whole concert" and then tossed the phone on
the floor behind him, where it stayed the rest of the night. DiPiero, who at one
point cracked, "Can someone bring me a root beer and a Percocet?," would
periodically shout out after a song or wacky group one-liners, "How do you like
that, Shauna?" She must have liked what she heard. She was still on the line
when they wrapped an hour and a half later.
