B&D and Blow-Up Dolls and Playboy Magazine
Terri Clark may've taken a pass on the cover of the world's best
loved, best known and (ahem) best read men's magazine, but count on
full-time good-timing Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks to sign up for their
own demi-spread in Playboy.

the street! Brooks & Dunn's upcoming March 5 appearance at the Naval

High Tech
Nashville: "You didn't honestly think we were just gonna stand there
in front of some mics, didya?" laughs Kix Brooks, the Louisiana-born
guitar-slinging cyclone about Brooks & Dunn's upcoming Red Dirt Road
Tour, designed to get the 4-time Entertainers of the Year back to the
places that couldn't withstand the Neon Circus. "Come ON! You know us
better than that… We may be changing the dimensions of some of what we
do, but I don't think you ever actually thought Ron and I would ever
just set-up and play."

Shhhhhh!!! B&D Get "Dr. Phil'ed"
Special Valentine's Day Surprise for the Self-help Guru's Much
Watched Show
Los Angeles: It wasn't quite like hearts and cupid dolls broke out
all over when Kix Brooks & Ronnie Dunn walked onstage at "The Dr. Phil
Show," but the crowd came to their feet in serious appreciation. Country
music's
winningest superstar duo were on-hand to perform their very personal
"That's What She Gets For Loving Me" as part of one of Dr. Phil (McGraw)'s
biggest ever surprises. And quite a surprise for the no hemming and
hawing self-help host.

Brooks & Dunn Putting the Finishing Touches on Their Red Dirt Road
Brooks & Dunn Putting the Finishing Touches on Their Red Dirt Road
They may be stripping it back for their Red Dirt Road Tour, and putting
their focus on the songs that've made them country music's most
consistently exciting franchise, but don't think the zebra's gonna
change it's stripes too much! Look for the B&D stage set -- designed by
Mike Swinford, who's done just about every act imaginable and a ton of
work for the NBA as well -- the stage is a topsy turvy glut of highway
signs and license plates from all over the country that can best be
described as "rustic."

Brooks & Dunn Today Show Appearance
Brooks & Dunn Can't Take It Anymore 4-Time Entertainers of the Year
Break Into "Today Weekend"
Nashville Airport: After everything but the locusts, Ronnie Dunn and Kix
Brooks figured it was time for the "Today Show" people to come to them.
And after a blackout that stopped a region, a pre-emption in the name of
international sportsmanship and now a blizzard that's turned the Big
Apple white, the 26-million selling duo were stranded at BNA once again.

Ride 'em Ronnie
Ronnie Dunn may know how to rock a giant inflatable rodeo gal, but
don't think the vocal ninja with the tone of neon is going to be leaping
a single bronco with a bucking bound. The man who was recently inducted
into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame prefers to do his trick-roping with
that seek-and-destroy voice of his. With the third Neon Circus wound
down and the Red Dirt Road tour kicking up dust starting Feb. 12, Dunn
and his partner Louisiana flash Kix Brooks close out their year with
three stomping dates at the famed Las Vegas Hilton (Dec. 8-10) as part
of the National Finals Rodeo celebration. More! |

Brooks & Dunn Takes It To The Red Dirt Roads
Late Winter Tour Strips It Back, Brings It To The Fans…
Nashville: When you've mounted the biggest, baddest, hardest core tour
in country music for the last three years, sometimes you find yourself
yearning for the more organic, more intimate feel of a more
performance-driven show. And so it is that quadruple Country Music
Association Awards nominees Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks -- purveyors of
the greatest show on 18-wheels The Neon Circus & Wild West Show -- are
setting their sites on some of blue line highways and markets that've
always been mainstays for what's being playfully referred to around Camp
B&D as "The Red Dirt Road Tour."

Brooks & Dunn's "Today" Finally Comes…
Black-Out Make Up Is Thanksgiving Ramp-Up Nov. 22
New York: First the lights went out. Then they wouldn't let the plane
take off. And suddenly, Brooks & Dunn's late summer "Today Show" Summer
Concert Series performance was unplugged and grounded in the very worst
way. As Manhattan was paralyzed by the black-out, Brooks & Dunn
scrambled to patch together gear to do a homecoming show in Kix Brooks'
hometown that weekend, because their trucks -- already in New York --
couldn't get loaded.

Muskogee Woman Stands for Over 79 Hours to Win Brooks & Dunn Tickets
MUSKOGEE, Okla. (Monday, September 29, 2003) --After more than 79
hours, Jodi Reheard gave up the fight for front row Brooks & Dunn
tickets. She walked off the rain-slicked “Red Dirt Road” at 3:38 p.m.
Monday. Left standing as the winner of the “Survive the Red Dirt Road”
contest was Stormie Brassfield, a 38 year-old home health aid and mother
with barely enough voice and energy to celebrate her victory. She did,
however, manage to give her cheering section a thumbs-up.

Brooks & Dunn Take the Honky Tonk to the Hills
Hollywood, CA: If you're gonna throw your arms around your
influences, then you better do it right. With Red Dirt Road getting
serious critical kudos from Rolling Stone, The Village Voice,
Entertainment Weekly, Sound & Vision and USA Today, Ronnie Dunn and Kix
Brooks' excavation of the music that forged their hard-charging take on
the sound of Saturday night is getting a major fuel injection as the
freewheeling pair head into the Hollywood Hills for a raucous
performance of "You Can Take The Girl Out of the Honky Tonk (But You
Can't Take The Honky Tonk Out of the Girl)."

Kix Brooks Signs
When you've got a close-knit fold, you can count on a cold to rip
through the ranks - and leave sore throats and stuffed noses everywhere.
During Brooks & Dunn's annual Canadian run, it got so bad it brought Kix
Brooks, the always cyclonic performer, to complete silence. Not only was
he unable to sing his signature "You're Gonna Miss Me," but the man who
co-wrote the CMA Song of the Year nominee "Red Dirt Road" with partner
Ronnie Dunn handled every star's nightmare with his usual hilarity.

Brooks & Dunn Receive Four CMA Nominations
Nashville: With the most personal album of their career, Ronnie Dunn
and Kix Brooks struck a nerve with their song of finding redemption and
knowledge along the way -- as the mandolin-tinged title track of their
chart-topping album Red Dirt Road took nods for Song and Video of the
Year. In addition, the record-setting Duo of the Year winners also
repeated in that category and picked up an Entertainer of the Year
nomination at today's Country Music Association Awards nominations press
conference. More! |
