Everybody who watched 39th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards witnessed the ongoing testimony of Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw that Brooks and Dunn was their ultimate favorite country music act of all time. Not only did the self help guru and wife introduce the hard chargin' duo debut a new song on the show, but the McGraws accompanied Brooks and Dunn to Joe Galante's always fabulous RCA Label Group post awards party. Harding Academy Rocks with Brooks & Dunn

Good times, Food, Music and Money for the School was the idea at this years Harding Academy Benefit held at Ronnie Dunn’s barn. With a live auction and ticket sales going to improve Harding Academy facilities, the down home shindig raised over $30,000. One of the big donations came from Ronnie himself when he bid over $4000 for a real sheriff’s badge to add to his collection. We thought Kix was the one who needed to keep from getting speeding tickets with his fast cars?

 

B&D 2004 ACM Duo of The Year!

Brooks and Dunn have taken home once again the ACM Duo of the Year award. They also performed a song for the first time on television, "That's What It's All About,".

Brooks & Dunn have won the most ACM awards in the history of ACM.

Called "That's What It's All About," the song is something Brooks calls "the gooey center of what happens after the guy in 'Red Dirt Road' figures out to go home and go find Mary," and it's an incredible match for Dunn's muscular rafter scraping voice. Kix Comes In 2nd At Colonial Pro-Am

No, it wasn't a case of who could rid the mechanical longer out on the Neon Circus & Wild West Show. But Kix Brooks -- up for 5 Academy of Country Music Awards -- did manage to help his Colonial Pro-Am Team, anchored by host PGA legend Hal Sutton, finish second at the annual event in Fort Worth.  More!
