BMI Country Awards Honor Brooks & Dunn Songs!

Country music’s finest take center stage when BMI assembled Nashville’s creative community for the annual BMI Country Awards, a stellar event saluting the 50 top country songs of the past year. BMI saluted the premier country music songwriters, artists and publishers at the BMI offices on Music Row in Nashville. BMI honored Brooks & Dunn's hit songs RED DIRT ROAD Writers: Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, and YOU CAN'T TAKE THE HONKY TONK OUT OF THE GIRL Writers:Bart Allmand and Bob DiPiero. Congratulations!

Brooks & Dunn give Future to Kids during Futurity
During the month of September Nashville's Futurity benefiting the Ronald McDonald House and Vanderbilt Children's Hospital was a huge success. One special night put together by Kix and Barbara Brooks, featured the Dynamic Duo private performance along with Auctioneer Kix Brooks! The silent and live auction combined for a total of $130,355.00. Some of the highest bids were on Gibson Guitars, Superbowl and World Series tickets and Golf with Vince Gill & Kix. The highest item was $20,000 and included Breeding with Highbrow Cat, a very prestigious breeding horse.
CMA In Big Apple For 2005

On Tuesday, October 5, Kix was on hand in New York City and Nashville when the Country Music Association announced their temporary move of the CMA Awards to the Big Apple in 2005. Kix joined Trace Adkins , New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and CMA Director Ed Benson for New York’s press conference.

Brooks & Dunn Nominated For American Music Award

Brooks & Dunn were nominated today for Favorite Country Band, Duo or Group for the 32nd American Music Awards. Nominees for the 32nd annual “American Music Awards,” were disclosed today. The awards will be presented during a three-hour special on the ABC Television Network, Sunday, November 14, 2004, 8-11 PM (Eastern and Pacific Time). Ronnie and Kix did it again! They showed their generosity and donated some wonderful items to raise money for Tim McGraw's Swampstock charity event.
