KIX BROOKS HAS NEW
APPRECIATION FOR CONCERT FANS
According to Denver's Rocky Mountain News, Kix Brooks bought a ticket
like any ordinary fan and took off to see a Tom Petty show. He says it
was a rough reminder of how dedicated concert fans must be to go see
their favorite stars.
I went to a Tom Petty show a couple of weeks ago to remind myself how
long you've got to sit in your car to get in...how much a beer costs,
how much a T-shirt costs. I do really appreciate how much it means to a
lot of people who also have to get a babysitter. It is a big deal
financially, reported Premiere. more |

Kix Brooks Gets Teed Off
Verona, NY: Never mind having the #1 Billboard and Radio & Records
single with "Play Something Country," Billboard's #1 album for two weeks
in a with Hillbilly Deluxe, which is getting the best reviews of Brooks
& Dunn's storied career, sometimes a superstar guitarslinger/singer/songwriter
gets a little teed off. Thankfully, when that superstar happens to be
Kix Brooks, the crop-dusting, stage-diving half of 4-time Entertainers
of the Year, getting teed off involves 3-woods, 5-irons and putters
rather than tantrums. more |

stirring emotions instantly as people hear it - earlier this week,
Ronnie sang "Believe" at a benefit concert in Nashville and drew a
lengthy standing ovation. The setting was perfect - the mother church of
country music, the Ryman Auditorium. |

Hurricane Relief Starts At
Home
For Brooks & Dunn, hurricane relief starts at home. While her daddy is
on the road on the Deuces Wild Tour, 10-year-old Haley Dunn and four of
her friends decided to take fundraising into their own hands.
The girls set up a lemonade stand at the end of the driveway at Ronnie
Dunn's Williamson County estate. Haley put up two cardboard stand-ups of
her daddy and duo-partner Kix Brooks. The biggest business came from
busloads of country fans doing the tour of the stars' homes thing. In 2½
days this weekend the girls made $914.

KIX BROOKS TO ESPN SUNDAY
9/11 BROADCAST
Brooks is gonna be able to take in a little baseball this Sunday by
virtue of his good pals at ESPN. The folks at "Sunday Night Baseball"
hooked up with Brooks between a photo shoot for People and a sold-out

past-time, good friend, former Cy Young Award winner and ESPN
commentator Rick Sutcliffe and memories of games that's moved him
particularly, including taking his kids to Chicago for a Cubs' game
where Sutcliffe played -- and that interview will be shown as part of
the Cleveland/Minnesota telecast this Sunday.
