BROOKS & DUNN REACT TO CMA NODS
Kix Brooks said, "[We] feel like we got some fresh wind in our
sails -- been a long time since we had this kind of fun -- and a magic
song like 'Believe' is the kind a career like ours can only dream of.
Thanks, Ron and Craig and the Man Upstairs, for that one. Doesn't hurt
to have Vince and Sheryl, two of the greatest talents on the planet, on
our current single, either."
"It's good to feel the love out there," Ronnie Dunn said.
"I guess you might think that it would work the other way, but the
longer that we're in this business, the more humbling it becomes. Kix
and I realize how privileged that we are to be accepted by the fans and
the people that surround us within the industry."

BROOKS & DUNN--BUILDING
BRIDGES & BREAKING BOUNDARIES
August 14, 2006--Brooks & Dunn love to expand the boundaries
of country music. They even have rocker Sheryl Crow on their current
single, "Building Bridges." "We’ve had this argument a ton about where
the boundaries are and what’s country music," says Kix Brooks to X
Radio. "You know, the great guys–the Cashs, and the Haggards, and
Willie, and those guys, I think they proved to all of us that there
shouldn’t be any boundaries. If it’s good and it’s what feels right to
ya, then express yourself." |

BROOKS & DUNN MUSIC IN
“TRADE CENTER” AND “EVERYONE’S HERO”
The music of Brooks and Dunn figures prominently in a couple
of upcoming feature films. Next week, the duo’s 2001 hit “Only in
America” can be heard in an opening scene from the new Oliver Stone film
World Trade Center (in theaters nationwide on Wednesday, August 9). This
fall, an animated baseball-themed project called Everyone’s Hero will
include a song the guys wrote with John Ondrasik of the group Five for
Fighting. The film was the last project that Christopher Reeve was
working on at the time of his death. “Stuff comes down the road all the
time that you never expect,” says Kix. |
