FESTIVAL
INDIO, Calif. -- The party ended early Sunday night (May 6)
for a good percentage of the 30,000 people who attended the second day
of the Stagecoach country music festival in the desert near Palm
Springs, Calif. Brooks & Dunn, the last act before Kenny Chesney closed
the festival at the Empire Polo Field, delivered a one-hour set that
featured good-time anthem after good-time anthem, bringing the sweaty
masses to a peak in which they sang along with nearly every song.

B&D HELP FUNDRAISER SETS RECORD
Brooks & Dunn, LeAnn Rimes and other stars helped raise more than $205,000 for the T.J. Martell Foundation at the 8th Annual Best Cellars event, Monday, April 30, in Nashville.
The event, which took place at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, pairs country stars with wine collectors for a superb gourmet meal. The funds from the dinner go to the T.J. Martell Foundation, which supports cancer research. Funds raised from this year’s event pushed the overall total to a record-setting $1,000,000.

April 3, 2007 — Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn, who played a
songwriters' circle last week as part of the Tin Pan South festival,
said he'll never quit writing songs.
"This is what I came here to do," he told Nashville's WKRN. "I love
touring with Brooks & Dunn. That's as exciting as anything I've ever
done, but for 10 years before I met Ronnie I wrote songs for a living,
and your heart and soul never get away from that. Hopefully, as artists

March 16, 2007 — Brooks & Dunn are looking forward to hitting the road this summer with their buddy Alan Jackson. The tour will begin in May and run well into the fall, with the two headliners playing 30 dates along with show openers Jake Owen and Catherine Britt. According to the duo, they've wanted to tour with Alan for a long time but had one small hang-up. "We've been working on it for eight years and talking about it forever," Ronnie tells Dial-Global. "It always gets hung up when we ask about confetti. Alan goes, 'You're not going to shoot confetti are you?'"
