Dale Earnhardt Tribute Concert Concert to air July 10 on FOX

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – For fans that couldn’t make it down to Daytona Beach, Fla. for the Dale Earnhardt Tribute Concert on June 28; Dale Earnhardt, Inc., Kraft/Nabisco and Fox Television are bringing it to you. Tune in on Thursday, July 10 (8-10 p.m. ET) when Fox will air a prime time, two-hour special from the Tribute Concert as it happened. Fans turned out to pay tribute to Dale Earnhardt and none were disappointed with the show.

Alabama, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Sheryl Crow, Goo Goo Dolls, Hootie & the Blowfish and Delbert McClinton rocked the infield and trioval grandstands of Daytona International Speedway.

The all-star fundraising concert was the first event to benefit the Dale Earnhardt Foundation to further the charitable causes of Dale and Teresa Earnhardt. The foundation was established to carry on Dale’s name and good works through those charitable causes he championed during his celebrated lifetime.

And, his friends and fans certainly celebrated his life and times during his Tribute Concert.

Fans watching the broadcast will see people decked out in Dale Earnhardt apparel, carrying signs and hoisting three fingers in the air. Dale is the winningest driver at the famed 2.5-mile trioval of Daytona and he was cheered as such all through the day-long event.

“Dale was a fan of many types of music and over the years we’ve been fortunate to meet some wonderful and talented artists who have become good friends,” Teresa Earnhardt said. “Many of those immediately agreed to get involved with this project. Music was a big part of Dale’s life, so it’s only fitting that we kicked off the Dale Earnhardt Foundation in such an uplifting and entertaining way.”

The all-day festival of music and memories was the first non-racing event from the “World Center of Racing” and transformed the track into a concert venue. Fans watching the prime time show on Fox will see just what a stage that is 220-feet across, 120-feet deep and stands 80-feet in the air looks like on pit road.

Be sure to watch for special appearances by Dale Earnhardt, Jr. joining Kenny Chesney on stage as did Michael Waltrip with Hootie & the Blowfish. Teresa Earnhardt welcomed the crowd to a roaring applause and introduced each act before they took the stage.

This can all be seen Thursday, July 10 from 8 – 10 p.m. on your local Fox affiliate. Be a part of this historic event and enjoy the music that paid tribute to the American Legend of Dale Earnhardt.

Enjoy the music - enjoy the Legend.
