Brooks & Dunn Says "Good Morning America"
Date moved*to Aug 29

New York City: They've won Grammys, toured with contortionists, recorded with Vince Gill and Sheryl Crow -- and now high-flying hard-rocking country superstars Brooks & Dunn are launching their brand new Hillbilly Deluxe -- featuring "Play Something Country," the fastest moving single in a career of lightning fast singles -- on "Good Morning America." As the record hits the streets, the 4-time Entertainers of the Year will be hitting ABC's Times Square studio to blow up the neon and give America the full-tilt turbo-tonk-treatment August 29.

"When you're looking for a way to plug straight into the source," says Brooks, the dark-haired guitarslinger/songwriter, "what is more alive, more intense than the heart of New York City? It's all happening in Times Square -- you can feel that energy -- so we're gonna hit that nerve, and show'em a little different way to rock the start of their day."

"Even though a lot of this music is best suited to late nights and beer joints, it can kick a day into overdrive pretty well," adds Dunn, the singer with the straight razor in his throat, with a low laugh. "You pop some of these songs on in the car. and you're rocking!"

Hillbilly Deluxe was produced by legendary music man Tony Brown -- known for his work with George Strait, Steve Earle, Elvis, Emmylou Harris and Reba McEntire. And with a new stripped-down intensity, Brooks & Dunn enlisted some far-ranging help to bring what could be considered a survey course in modern blue collar life to life, including Linda Ronstadt steeler Dan Dugmore, Little Feat vet Billy Payne, John Mellencamp/Joe Ely guitarist David Grissom, Rolling Stones' saxman of choice Jim Horn, long time Willie Nelson & Family player Mickey Raphael, Mavericks sometime sideman Gordon Mote, Steve Winwood stalwart Michael Rhodes, Stevie Ray Vaughan B-3 man Reese Wynans and acclaimed mandolinist Stuart Duncan.

"Diane's a Kentucky girl," says Brooks. "She's gonna be good to go with the way this music bears down and lifts up. It's everything that feels good -- and gets right in the pocket. So we're ready if she is. and we're gonna bring'em some new music, some big sounds and have a little fun when we set this record off."

With their Deuces Wild Tour kicking off Aug 6 in Dallas, look for the men who brought you the three wildly successful Neon Circuses to make three duos into one crazy night! Joined by "Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)" stars Big & Rich -- who will be bringing all the Muzik Mafia bells & whistles with them - and certified crazy guys the Warren Brothers, this year's CMA Awards hosts are planning on having a lot of fun out there through the end of October.  Catch'em if you can, because with those three pairs, the house will most definitely be wild.
