BROOKS & DUNN NOT RESTING ON LAURELS
July 12, 2006--Since
their debut back in 1991, Brooks & Dunn have been going strong.
Currently in the middle of their latest tour, "The Long Haul," both
Ronnie Dunn and Kix Brooks agree they’re not ones to rest on their
laurels. "We never have, never will," Ronnie tells X Radio. "I think
that’s what always keeps you striving to get better--always having to
look over your shoulder and feeling like there’s something out there
that you could do. Trying to one-up everything you do musically,
performance wise, everything else, year after year."
"That’s it," adds Kix. "It has to be good enough for both of us to
continue. We’ve gotta make it better every year. It’s just the way we’ve
operated since we got started."
"It’s just an innate dysfunction, I guess," laughs Ronnie.
